BEHIND THE SCENES:

INTERVIEW WITH THE MUSICIANS

The story behind the music...

'This Christmas Time' is the first Christmas single from the worldwide movement and the world's only
touring jam, Jam for Freedom. An international song full of hope, joy and empowerment. Written by
Rob MyJob from San Francisco, Bournemouth based Kamil Woj (lead guitar and bass) and London
based founder Cambel McLaughlin (drums and lead vocals).

Jam for Freedom were formed in 2020 to help mental health with free gigs across streets and parks
of the UK and Ireland, acting as the only touring band and jam during lockdowns. Their message has
inspired 15 chapters across the world where artists are encouraged to express truth within their
work. Along the way they have picked up support and acclaim from Eric Clapton, Van Morrison and
many more, even featuring in their 2021 music video 'This Has Gotta Stop'.

It’s clear this collectives journey has just begun.

The track features the talents of the English based: Fay Donnely on saxophone/backing vocals, Rob
Warrington from the band This Machine Kills Archons on rhythm guitar/ backing vocals, Gonzalo
Carrera who has worked with Supertramp's John Helliwell (and other stars) on keyboards, guest
appearances from originals artist Trevor John, plus a local children's choir and the San Francisco
based guitarist GG Amos. Recorded, mixed and mastered at River Studios in Southampton by William Davies.

(All proceeds from the track will be sent to the charity Consent, which educates and empowers

parents and carers on their rights to medical consent.) Find more about them HERE

Jam for Freedom have also announced a short tour to celebrate the single!

The upcoming music video to be released this coming Wednesday 7th December featuring guest appearances from

musicians across the world.

The CD cover art features hand drawn watercolour portraits of the musicians involved in the recording and

writing process, inspired by the message of unity.
On the eve of the musical collectives second anniversary, 'This Christmas Time' is a celebration of
music, harmony and a bright future for our children.
